Passenger gets £12,000 personal injury compensation after RTA

A passenger who received serious injuries when the car he was travelling in was hit by a lorry has been awarded personal injury compensation of more than £12,000.

At the time of the incident, the car was stuck at the back of a stationary queue of traffic. A large lorry crashed into the back of the car and it was shunted into the vehicle in front.

The passenger was knocked unconscious for a short time and he suffered several injuries, including abdominal injuries, cracked ribs and a fractured arm. As a result of the accident, the man had to take a lot of time off work and he needed help with home and personal care during his recuperation period.

The man contacted a firm of personal injury solicitors and asked them to file a personal injury claim against the driver of the lorry. The driver’s insurance company accepted liability for the accident, and based on medical reports, the two sides began negotiating a settlement.

The compensation award took into consideration loss of earnings and the costs he incurred for care, medication and travel.

If you have been the victim of a road traffic accident and feel you should be entitled to personal injury compensation, you should contact a firm of reputable personal injury lawyers. They will be able to advise you how to proceed and in the majority of cases they will represent you on a no win no fee basis.
