Express Solicitors, a Manchester based firm of personal injury solicitors, recently announced it would create 40 new jobs as part of a £3 million expansion.
The legal firm wants to see a turnover figure of £10 million within the next four years and to help achieve this it intends to increase the size of its workforce to 120 and invest £1 million in new premises.
Express, which specialises in medical negligence and personal injury claims, has six partners at present. One of them, Robin Patey, explained that the expansion was in part due to the Legal Services Act. He believes that smaller law firms will need to consolidate but Express had an outstanding year last year and wants to expand not consolidate.
The firm intends to hire across the board, from management down to support staff and will be running an aggressive recruitment campaign throughout 2012. Express is based in the Northenden area of Manchester, but will consider other locations in the city for its new premises.
Mr Patey went on to say that the firm’s key assets are its staff, which include expert accident solicitors and a strong team of management, all of whom are committed to getting the best results for its clients.
In the year ending August 2011, Express’ fee income increased by 39% to £4.1 million. The firm also saw a 41% increase in case loads over that period due to an aggressive marketing campaign.
